Community Engagement
I consider myself a fortunate professional. Every project I have worked on has contributed to social change. Educating vulnerable youth, empowering minorities, and building peace through sustainable development are among my causes.

Digital Learning Resources - Universidad del Valle
Rural School of Communications - PASO Colombia
In 2021, I led a groundbreaking project that obtained a USD $9,600 grant from the Colombian Ministry of Culture.
The goal was to train a recently displaced rural community in content creation as they needed an urgent rebrand to focus on a different market.
The content created during the process, such as a new logo, slogan, brand imagery, and audiovisual storytelling, was leveraged to raise USD $6,000 through a crowdfunding campaign, afterwards used to build high-impact infrastructure.
Moreover, this project opened a new line of work for the organization, attracting new partners and funds such as the following.

In 2019, I was part of a team that coached teachers and students in integrating technology into their learning environments. The city-wide project targeted the most vulnerable secondary schools in Cali, Colombia.
I acted as a front-line liaison between schools, the university, and the Municipal Office of Education. I trained teachers and students to use IT resources as part of their learning sequences, resulting in a guide for technology use in underserved schools for English, Literature, Math, History, and Geography classes.

Voices from The Territory - PASO Colombia
Thanks to the Rural School of Communication experience, in 2022 I co-managed a similar nationwide project across 40 locations in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations MPTF Fund, and the Colombia in Peace Fund.
I coordinated artists, trained community leaders, and developed media relations to boos social entrepreneurship in war-torn regions of the country.
